Encouraging Fearless Learners

Motivate class put on a fabulous assembly showcasing all their learning about the Ancient Egyptians. They did particularly well considering they didn't have long to rehearse. Well done to them and thanks to Mrs Behic for supporting them and giving them the confidence to perform so well.

This term we have lots of exciting things to look forward to including a trip to the dinosaur exhibition at Hall Place, on 2nd February and digging for fossils at Lessness Abbey on 27th March, as part of our Rocks and Soils topic. Any parents or carers interested in helping out please let me know, all help is appreciated!

We will be changing how we do homework this term. Children will have a choice of fun and engaging tasks and activities to choose from and complete over the half term. Children will then bring in their completed work on the last Friday of the half term. See our homework page for further details. If you would like to find out more, please pop in and see us at any time.

Class Motivate have been having a lot of fun in Science recently!  We spent the afternoon being petrologists (rock specialists)! The children took part in three investigations, to learn more about sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous rocks.  There was an acid zone, where we observed how rocks reacted to vinegar, a water zone to test whether rocks were permeable or impermeable and a zone where the hardness of rocks were investigated.  Below are some photos of our investigation!
