Science at Hook Lane
At Hook Lane we teach the National Curriculum objectives with support from the Kent Primary Science Scheme of work.
TASC (Thinking Actively in a Social Context)
In order to promote practical problem solving and develop thinking skills we have adopted a TASC approach in science. The aim of this approach is to encourage learners to think actively, in turn this promotes engagement and motivation.
Throughout a lesson or series of lessons children are asked to gather information, identify problems, generate hypotheses, test ideas, evaluate their work and communicate their learning in a range of contexts.
