Attainment from 2016 onwards

2014 saw the arrival of a new National Curriculum with an entirely different system of assessment. 2016 was the first Summer that the Year 2 and Year 6 children were assessed according to the new measures. It is very difficult to make comparisons between the old standards (pre 2016) and the new assessments.

SEN at Hook Lane

We are very proud of our resourced provision for children with ASD and one of the strengths of the school is our inclusive atmosphere and our passion for helping all children to achieve their very best. As a result, we have high percentages of children with SEN needs and with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). These children make excellent progress with their personalised learning at our school, although in many cases their attainment is lower than the 'expected standard'. Naturally this has an affect on our averages and percentages. Below is a presentation of our end of KS2 data for the children without EHCPs for the purposes of comparison.
