Welcome to Strive Class!
What a lovely day we had on our trip to the farm on Wednesday 6th November. The sun shone, the children were fantastic and we had lots of fun. We started with a lovely long walk where we used our senses to do a scavenger hunt, to listen to a bird chorus, to feel and find a tree and to collect items for a potion. We mixed our potions together with special dragons blood and we hope to find that when we return in the Spring, our magic spell to help more trees grow will have worked. It was then time for the long awaited lunchtime. We were all very hungry. After lunch it was onto our next activity which was to collect different things from nature to create a picture, just like Andy Goldsworthy does. He's made lots of art work using natural elements, which he leaves behind for everyone to enjoy. We hope you like our creations from flowers and butterflies, to snakes and trees. We then got to collect some smaller items to stick on a piece of card to bring home. We hope you liked them. Then it was time to jump back on the bus for home, very muddy and very tired. Thank you so much to all the parents and carers that came along to help. We hope you enjoyed your day too.
